Fifit Unveils NAONAO AI Companion in Shanghai, Announces Limited Singles' Day Release

SHANGHAI, Oct. 21, 2026 — Fifit, a wholly owned subsidiary of Maxvision, unveiled NAONAO, its first AI companion toy, at the China Toy Expo (CTE) in Shanghai. The newest addition to the NAO family combines a playful character design with personalized voice interaction and features designed for everyday companionship.
Making its first exhibition appearance, Fifit presented NAONAO alongside NAOmini from Maxvision's Shengchuang business. Both products made their global debut at the event. NAONAO will go on sale in limited quantities on November 11, coinciding with China's Singles' Day shopping festival.

Held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, CTE brings together the toy and collectible toy industries. This year's exhibition included a dedicated showcase for AI-enabled toys, highlighting new applications of intelligent technology in consumer products.
From Collectible Character to Interactive Companion
NAONAO takes the appeal of character-based toys beyond display and collecting. Combining a soft, endearing design with natural voice interaction, it is designed to become a companion that users can talk to, carry with them and get to know over time.
Its features include touch-based interaction, voice recognition, customized voices and the ability to learn from ongoing exchanges. Together, these capabilities are intended to make interactions more personal and responsive to each user.

NAONAO was selected for CTE's new product launch showcase. At the exhibition, it attracted trade visitors, collectors and media representatives who stopped to try its conversational features.
Voice customization was a particular draw, allowing visitors to experience conversations in a selected voice with a high degree of fidelity. Visitors also highlighted its emotionally responsive exchanges, describing the experience as closer to talking with a lively companion than receiving scripted replies from a robot.

Designed for a Relationship That Develops Over Time
For Fifit, the ambition extends beyond a convincing first conversation. NAONAO is designed around an ongoing experience in which familiarity grows through repeated interaction.
"The value of an AI companion toy goes beyond how well it handles a single exchange," Fifit's product lead said at the exhibition. "It needs to keep offering something meaningful day after day. Companionship grows through continued interaction and a deeper connection over time."
Through natural conversation, emotion-aware responses, personalized voice features and evolving memory, NAONAO is designed to recognize preferences and respond with greater familiarity as people use it.

Its compact, lightweight design also allows it to be worn as a bag charm, bringing the experience into daily commutes, outings and travel. Fifit aims to make interaction part of everyday life, with a companion that can accompany users beyond the home.
A New Addition to the NAO Family
NAONAO expands Maxvision's NAO family into AI companion toys, extending the group's reach to new audiences and everyday consumer experiences.
The wider NAO platform has been deployed in more than 70 countries, with over 20,000 robots in use. It has also served as an official competition platform at RoboCup for 18 consecutive years. Its capabilities in perception, interaction, expressive behavior and coordinated movement support applications ranging from education and research to care and companionship.
With NAONAO, Fifit brings a new character and product format to Maxvision's ambition of offering companionship across different stages of life.
As AI creates new possibilities for the toy industry, Fifit plans to combine original characters with increasingly personalized interaction, developing products that sustain engagement well beyond the first encounter.
